The Causes of Green Poop
If you are asking yourself, “why is my poop green?”, then you have come to the right place. There are many causes for the color of our poop, and in this article we will discuss a few of the reasons for why our poop might turn green.
The most common reason that our poop turns green is from eating too many vegetables. Vegetables contain a high amount of chlorophyll in them, and if we have too much chlorophyll in our bodies, then our poop becomes green.
Another cause for green poop is artificially coloring. If you have been drinking a lot of soft drinks that are green, blue, or dark purple, then this might be the cause of your green colored poop.
One final reason for why people get green poop is from having too much iron in your diet. This really isn’t anything too worry about, and if you eat a little bit less iron enriched foods, then your poop should go back to normal within a day or two.
